Sourdough Course - 1 Day
(suitable for complete novices and the more experienced home baker)

Non residential £250 (I can run this for up to 2 persons, so the total is £250 whether it is 1 or 2 people and includes tea/coffee, our sourdough starter (1979!!) & lunch and lots of bread to take home)
Residential £340 (This is an option should you wish to extend your course to include overnight accommodation in our B&B. The price is for 2 persons sharing a twin or super king, en suite room and includes breakfast, tea/coffee).
We can arrange dinner reservations and taxis to local restaurants in advance.
If you are arriving by rail, we can also arrange complimentary local collections from Brockenhurst or New Milton station.
This is a practical, hands on course and the emphasis is on ‘baking for fun’
During the day you will make the following:
Sourdough using the French method (Ambient)
We will also cover the following
Varieties of Organic Bread Flours
The role and variety of organic salts
Milling your own flour from organic grains
How to create and maintain a healthy Starter (Mother)
How to make a Levan
The role of Autolaise
Proving and scoring dough
Baking with steam
Baking in a Dutch Oven
